The formula behind this calculator.
area = length × width + waste; waste = 5% (tile) to 15% (diagonal plank)
- length, width
- Room dimensions
- waste%
- 5% for tile, 10% for plank, 15% for diagonal
Order extra for cuts, defects, and future repairs. Acclimate plank flooring in the room for 48 hours before installation.
Example: 20 × 15 ft room + 10% waste: 300 × 1.1 = 330 ft² ordered
