How it works
The formula behind this calculator.
count = wallArea / brickArea; brickArea = (length + joint) × (height + joint)
- wallArea
- Total wall area in m² or ft²
- brickArea
- Brick + mortar joint (typically 215 × 65 mm + 10 mm)
Standard bricks are 215 × 102.5 × 65 mm. With 10 mm mortar joints, each brick covers 75 × 225 mm = 0.0169 m². Add 5% for breakage.
Example: 10 m² wall, 215×65 mm bricks → ~640 bricks (no waste)
Ref: ASTM C62 (Standard Specification for Building Brick)
Tips
- 💡 Standard bricks are 215 × 102.5 × 65 mm with 10 mm mortar joints.
- 💡 Order 5% extra for breakage and cuts.
