Chained discounts multiply, they don't add. The order doesn't matter, but the total discount is always less than the sum of the individual ones.
Example: 20% + 10% off $100 → $100 × 0.8 × 0.9 = $72 (28% off, not 30%)

Tips
- 💡 20% + 10% off is NOT 30% off. It's 1 − (0.8 × 0.9) = 28% off.
- 💡 The order doesn't matter: chained discounts multiply, and multiplication is commutative.
