rolls = ceil(perimeter / rollWidth) × ceil(height / rollLength) + waste

A single European roll = 5.2 m². American rolls = 5.5 m². Pattern repeat adds 10–20% to the area you need.
Example: Perimeter 16 m, height 2.5 m, 0.53 m × 10.05 m rolls → 4 strips × 1 = 4 rolls + 10% pattern = 5
