VAT = net × rate/100; gross = net × (1 + rate/100); net = gross / (1 + rate/100)

VAT is added to the net price. To remove VAT from a gross price, divide by 1 + rate. To add it, multiply by 1 + rate.
Example: 20% VAT on $100 net → VAT = $20, gross = $120
